Hospital

Surrounded by hardwoods and mountain laurel, the peaceful setting gives the feeling of a sleepy little hospital. But residents of Polk County and Upstate South Carolina take comfort knowing that their community hospital offers a wide array of acute care health services and advanced technology-with an extra dose of TLC and personalized attention.

Long recognized for providing "high touch" healthcare, St. Luke's Hospital provides "high tech" services such as all digital imaging capabilities, 24-hour physician-staffed Emergency Department, impressive surgical services, advancements in orthopedic surgery and rehab and respectful geriatric-psychiatric care for older adults suffering with depression, dementia, Alzheimer's and other mental health issues.

Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, St. Luke's Hospital has been an important part of the foothills' history, providing needed healthcare services to the area for more than 80 years. With support and contributions from the local community, St. Luke's Hospital provides updated technology to assist the medical staff in diagnosing and treating patients, but St. Luke's is widely known for the personalized care and compassion extended to patients and their families.

The individualized attention and teamwork St. Luke's staff display in caring for patients has helped this small, community hospital dispel the myth that bigger is better. Indeed, St. Luke's Hospital provides exceptional care, close to home.
